# For cosmetics: batches with expiry dates, dated offers, and loyalty points.

> A POS for cosmetics and perfume shops: batches sold nearest-expiry first, a card for what expires within 30 days, dated offers, loyalty, a card for a regular who left.

Dashing (dashing.krd) is a point-of-sale, inventory and double-entry accounting platform for retail shops in Iraq — Arabic-first, also in Kurdish (Sorani) and English — with a cashier that works offline and a built-in AI assistant called Dash.

Dashing for cosmetics is the cashier, stock and books for a shop whose products carry an expiry date and whose customers come back: the batch sells before it expires, and the regular is known by name.

## An expiry date on every batch

Batches are switched on only for the items that need them: a cream or a perfume with an expiry date, but not tools. Every delivery is recorded as a batch with its date, and the till suggests the nearest expiry at the sale; an expired batch is flagged and can only be sold with an explicit confirmation, recorded under the name of whoever gave it. A home-screen card counts what expires within 30 days, the window can be changed in Settings, and the morning brief lists the expired and near-expiry units.

## The regular customer

- Loyalty points earned with each invoice and redeemed inside the cart, and a gift card with a balance
- An offer as a percentage or an amount off the cart or buy 2 get 1, with a start and end date
- A "regular customer went quiet" card on the home screen; in the sample shop it listed 5 customers
- Product photos on the till grid, and variants for shades and sizes under one parent product, each with its barcode
- The customer statement as a WhatsApp link valid 30 days when she buys on credit

## What it does not do

No online store, no automatic marketing messages (your staff send them from WhatsApp), and no Instagram integration.

## Common questions

### Does it stop the sale of an expired item?

It flags the item and asks for an explicit confirmation, recorded under the name of whoever gave it; there is no hard block.

### How does it know a regular went quiet?

From her past visit pattern: when more time than usual passes without a purchase, a card with her name appears, and your staff decide whether to reach out.
