# Terms of service

> Dashing's terms in plain words: the account, the free and yearly plans (420,000 IQD), the 14-day money-back guarantee, ownership of your data, and termination.

Dashing (dashing.krd) is a point-of-sale, inventory and double-entry accounting platform for retail shops in Iraq — Arabic-first, also in Kurdish (Sorani) and English — with a cashier that works offline and a built-in AI assistant called Dash.

These terms are an agreement between you — the shop owner or their representative — and Dashing, the team based in Baghdad, Iraq that operates dashing.krd and the app. By using the service you accept them. Version 1.0, effective 14 September 2026. We wrote them to be read, not hidden at the bottom of a page.

## 1. The account

- One account per business, opened by an adult authorised to represent it, with accurate details
- You are responsible for the staff accounts you create, the permissions you grant, and the secrecy of passwords
- The service is aimed at businesses in Iraq and designed around the Iraqi dinar; it can be used from anywhere, but local taxes and laws are your responsibility

## 2. Plans and payment

- Free plan: 0 IQD, no card, no fixed term; the whole shop for one branch, with the limits published on the pricing page (one branch, Dash at 10 messages an hour, a "sent with Dashing" line on shared receipts). Every new shop starts on the yearly plan for 14 days, then continues free
- Yearly plan: 420,000 Iraqi dinars paid in advance for 12 months, with no commission on sales and no hidden fees. Activation by a WhatsApp message: we reply with the payment details and switch the plan on by hand the same day after payment
- No auto-renewal: at the end of the year you decide whether to renew. If you do not, the account returns to the free plan with all its data and branches (only a new branch cannot be added), and nothing is lost
- Money-back guarantee: within 14 days of paying for the yearly plan we refund the full amount on request, no questions asked, by the same method you paid with. After that the subscription runs to the end of its term
- If we change prices, the change does not apply to a term you have already paid for

## 3. Your data is yours

Everything you enter into Dashing remains yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service (to store it, back it up, show it to you and your staff, and send it, masked, to the AI model when you ask Dash). The "Export everything" button in Settings gives you your products, customers, suppliers, invoices and books in one file, at any time and on any plan. If you close your account you have 90 days to export. If the service ever shuts down for good, we tell you at least 90 days ahead and the export stays available throughout. ## 4. Acceptable use

- Use the service only for a lawful business and in ways that do not break Iraqi law
- Do not try to reach another shop's data, bypass permissions, deliberately overload the service, or scrape data outside the export tools
- Do not resell the service or offer it to third parties as your own

## 5. Dash and decisions

Dash reads your figures, explains them and makes suggestions; it applies no change without your approval. Its output is an aid to decisions, not accounting, legal or tax advice. Check any figure before basing an important decision on it, and consult your accountant on tax matters.

## 6. Availability and changes

- We work to keep the service available around the clock and announce planned maintenance in advance. This version does not include a guaranteed service-level agreement (SLA)
- The cashier works offline; sales are saved on the device and uploaded later. Accounting, reports and Dash need a connection
- We develop the service continuously and may add or change features; changes are written in the changelog, and we do not remove a core feature from a paid plan during its term

## 7. Termination

- You can close your account at any time via WhatsApp; fees paid for the current term are refunded only under the 14-day guarantee
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or threatens the security of the service, with notice where possible; the 90-day export window still applies

## 8. Liability and law

- The service is provided as is; we are liable for what results from our failures to the extent the law allows, and up to the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months
- We are not liable for loss caused by data you entered incorrectly, permissions you granted, or internet or power outages on your side
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction over any dispute not settled amicably
- When we change these terms we update the date above and announce the change inside the app a reasonable time before it takes effect

## Common questions

### Does the subscription renew automatically?

No. At the end of the year you decide. If you do not renew, the account returns to the free plan and your data stays.

### What happens to my data if I close my account?

You have 90 days to export it to CSV; then it is deleted from live systems and expires from backups within 12 months at most.
