Print it to sign or send it on WhatsApp. Dashing (dashing.krd) is a point-of-sale, inventory and double-entry accounting platform for retail shops in Iraq — Arabic-first, also in Kurdish (Sorani) and English — with a cashier that works offline and a built-in AI assistant called Dash. Canonical: https://dashing.krd/en/tools/installments Phones, fridges and furniture are sold on installments in every market, and the dispute starts when the number lives in the seller's head rather than on paper. This calculator takes the price, the down payment, the months and whatever you add for the installments, and gives a monthly figure in whole notes that is easy to pay, with a schedule showing the date of each payment and what is left after it. Print two copies and sign both, or send it to the customer on WhatsApp before they leave. ## How the installment is worked out The price minus the down payment is the financed amount. The installment extra is added to it, as a percentage of the financed amount, a flat sum, or both, and that is the total of the installments. The total is divided by the months and each installment is rounded up to the note you chose; the last installment takes only what is left, so rounding never changes the total. ## A worked example A phone at 650,000 with 110,000 down leaves 540,000. A 10% mark-up adds 54,000, for 594,000 over 12 months: 49,500 a month, rounded up to 50,000 at a step of 1,000. Eleven payments of 50,000 make 550,000, and the twelfth takes the remaining 44,000. ## Why the installment is rounded An installment with an odd amount means change every month and an argument every month. Round it to a thousand or five thousand and the customer pays it with one or two notes and knows the figure without asking. The whole difference is settled in the last installment, and if the rounded installments cover the total before the months run out, the schedule ends earlier. ## The signed schedule Print the schedule twice: one copy for the customer and one in their file at the shop. Each line carries the installment number, its date, its amount, what is left after it and a box to sign when it is paid. When the customer pays, you sign their copy and they sign yours, and both sides stay on the same number to the last installment. ## When the installments become many Ten customers on installments means paper that gets lost and dates that get forgotten. In Dashing the installment plan is built on the sale itself: every installment has a date and an amount, every payment is recorded against it from the till, and the balance shows in the customer statement you send on WhatsApp. The late ones reach you in the reminder list without you looking for them. ## Common questions ### Is this a loan calculator with interest? No. It works the way shops sell on installments: a mark-up added once, as a percentage of the financed amount or a flat sum, then split into equal monthly payments. A bank loan charges interest on the balance left each month, so its schedule differs; use a loan calculator for that. ### Do I enter the extra as a percentage or an amount? Whichever way you price. Some shops add a percentage on the financed amount, some a flat sum per plan, some both. The calculator takes either, and shows the extra as its own figure on the schedule so the customer sees it. ### What if the customer pays more or earlier? Write the actual amount next to the line and both sign it, and recompute with the new remaining amount and the months left if you both want a shorter plan. The printed schedule is an agreement, not a constraint. ### Is the customer's data saved? No. Everything is computed in your browser and nothing is sent to any server.
