Convert any currency to any currency, at today’s rate or your exchange shop’s.

Type the amount, pick the currency you have and the one you want, and read the answer. Today’s rate appears ready, but the market rate in Iraq differs from it and moves every day, and no converter knows the rate you will sell at; so the rate box is open: type the rate at the exchange shop you use and it stays in your browser. When the answer is in dinars it is rounded to 250, the smallest note in circulation. In Dashing, quotes are written in any currency at today’s rate and become invoices in your home currency.

Today’s rate and yours

The ready figure is the published rate for the day, shown with its date. In Iraq the market rate mostly sits above it and differs between cities and between morning and evening; the rate that matters to your shop is the one at the exchange shop you use today. Type it over the ready figure and it is remembered for that pair of currencies, and "use it" takes you back to the published one whenever you like. Swapping the direction turns the rate around for you.

A whole price list, and the effect of a rate move

Type your items and their prices in the currency you buy in, one per row, and the sticker prices come out in the currency you sell in, rounded up; for the phone and accessories shop that buys in dollars and sells in dinars. Type the value of your stock in the foreign currency and a new rate to see how much the shelf gains or loses on the rate move alone. Everything you type stays in your browser.

Common questions

What is the official dollar rate?

1,300 dinars per dollar since February 2023, the basis of the 2026 budget; the parallel market rate differs and moves daily. The article "Dollars on the shelf, dinars in the drawer" explains the gap.

Can I convert between two currencies other than the dinar?

Yes, any pair: euros to dollars, lira to dirhams. The ready rate is worked out from the day’s table, and you change it as you like.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
