Your shop’s data is kept safe, kept apart, and seen by nobody else.
Your sales, your customers and your books are the most valuable thing you put with us. This page says in plain words how we keep them, without jargon and without promises we cannot keep. Every line here is how the system works today.
Every shop kept separate
- Your shop’s data is kept apart from every other shop’s inside the database itself, so no shop’s screen ever shows another’s
- The Dashing team opens your books only when you ask for support, and for that request only
Your account and who gets in
- Your password is never stored as text; even we cannot read it
- A sign-in expires by itself, and signing out ends it at once
- Every user has their own permissions: the cashier sees the till, the manager their branch, the accountant the books, and you change them whenever you like
- Every important change is written to a log under the name of whoever made it, and that log is neither edited nor deleted
In transit and in storage
- Every connection between your device and Dashing is encrypted
- A backup every night, with a written and tested restore procedure
- Sales saved on the till device during an outage are not evicted by the browser before they are uploaded
Dash and your privacy
- Phone numbers and email addresses are masked before any question reaches the AI model
- Dash sees what the user asking it can see, no more
- Every change Dash proposes waits for your approval and is written to the log under your name
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or share it with any third party, and there are no ads inside the system

Common questions
Can your staff see my data?
Nobody opens your books unless you ask for support, and then for that request only, and it is logged. We never sell or share your data.
What happens to my sales if the internet drops?
They are saved on the till device and uploaded when the connection returns, exactly once however often the upload is retried.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes, at any time and on any plan: the "Export everything" button in Settings gives you your items, customers, invoices and books in one file.
