Price list template: every item with its profit and margin, not just its price.

Write the cost and the sale price and three computed columns appear: profit, margin (profit ÷ price) and markup (profit ÷ cost). Confusing margin with markup is the most common pricing mistake in shops; the sheet shows both side by side.

Plain files with no macros; they work in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.

The computed columns
Margin %Profit divided by the sale price.
Markup %Profit divided by cost — what a supplier means by "put 30% on top".

When the sheet stops being enough

The cost on the sheet is a number you type once. In Dashing the item's cost updates from every actual receipt, and margin is computed per sale, not only per item.

Common questions

Does the sheet round prices to 250?

No; you write the sale price. Use the margin calculator to get a suggested price rounded to 250 IQD.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
