Stock count template: count a shelf and see the difference and its value at once.

Download

Plain files with no macros; they work in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.

The computed columns
ExpectedThe quantity your notebook or system says before counting.
CountedWhat you actually found on the shelf, in the base unit (pieces).
Difference and valueComputed: counted − expected, times the unit cost.

When the sheet stops being enough

The sheet knows the difference but not what you did about it. In Dashing the difference is booked after approval and shows on the income statement, and selling never stops during a count.

Common questions

How do I import the count into Dashing?

Counts are not imported as a file; products import from CSV with an opening quantity, and later counts are done inside the system so the differences are booked.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
