Getting started

Moving your products from Loyverse, Excel or another program

Export the items from the old program and upload the file as it is: a Loyverse export is matched by its header, any other sheet by its columns, the rest by hand.

From Loyverse

  1. In Loyverse Back Office open "Items" and press "Export". Save the CSV.
  2. In Dashing open "Inventory", then "Import", and choose the file. The header is recognised: SKU, name, category, cost, barcode, price and stock come across as they are.
  3. Check the dry run ("Ready to import", "Rows with errors") and press "Import".

Variants export as separate rows in Loyverse; each becomes its own item here.

From Excel or a price list

  1. Open "Inventory", then "Import", and choose the .xlsx or .csv file. There is no need to save it in a special format.
  2. When the column names are recognised, the dry run appears at once. Otherwise a short screen shows your columns with the first rows underneath: pick which column is the name and which is the sale price. Cost, quantity, barcode and category are optional.
  3. Press "Import".

From Al-Ameen, RA8M or another program

Most programs have an export button on the items list; save the result as Excel and follow the steps above. Quantities in the file become opening stock in the main branch at the written cost.

What the import does not do

  • It does not update existing items; a row whose code already exists is listed in the errors and skipped.
  • It does not read a photo of a price list. Send us the photo on WhatsApp and we type it into a sheet for you.

Common questions

My file has no item codes.
That is fine. A row with a name and a price is enough; the import gives each item a code (IMP-0001 and so on) that you can change later from the item page.
The column names are in Arabic.
The usual Arabic headings are recognised (اسم المادة، سعر البيع، سعر الشراء، الكمية، الباركود). For anything else, the import shows the columns and you pick which one holds the name and which the price.
Loyverse has several stores in the export.
The first store's price and stock columns are used. If the second store should come over as well, import its columns as a separate branch after the first import.
