Steps
- Open "Financial", then "Settlements".
- In the drawer-closes section, every shift shows its status: "Open", "Confirmed" or "Under review". Press a shift for its report.
- To move the cash: "Record deposit", choose the destination "Bank", "Safe" or "Owner", enter the "Amount", then "Save".
- To reconcile the bank statement: upload it from "Choose file" in the reconciliation section and match the entries against the recorded transfers.
What happens in the books
A deposit moves the balance from the branch's drawer to the bank, the safe or the owner's account in one entry; the next drawer's expected cash starts correct.
What the system does not do
It does not fetch the bank statement automatically and does not connect to any bank.
Common questions
- What is the difference between a deposit and a cash-out during the shift?
- A cash-out during the shift takes money out of an open drawer for a reason. A deposit in Settlements moves a closed shift's cash to the bank, the safe or the owner.
- The shift shows "Under review".
- It has a variance above the threshold or an incomplete reason; open it, review the reason, and confirm it so it becomes "Confirmed".
